Hi everyone,
Well, the inaugural Captains V Past Captains matchplay event took place on Saturday 2 nd May and was a great success with everyone enjoying the day. Obviously, the Captains select team won – 8 1/2 – 3 1/2. Better luck next year, Past-Its. Big appreciation to Barry Taylor for sponsoring the day.
Long may this event continue.
Sunday the 3 rd saw our “A” team open their season with a home tie against
Forrest Pines – played under very wet conditions. Unfortunately, our boys still
had a bit of ring-rust on and went down 2-4.
Our ladies played their Audrey Arnold Trophy on Tuesday 5 th with Michelle
Evans coming out on top – well played Michelle.
“B” team travel away to play Forrest Pines on Saturday 9 th – good luck to all
involved – let’s keep the winning streak going.
The Captains Charity Day – our biggest fund raiser, will be played this coming
Sunday the 10 th . Played as a Texas Scramble, designed to add a bit of fun to
competitive golf & raise some funds for our chosen charities. Prizes for overall
winners, feature holes, off course novelties and a surprise auction so please
